Author, Speaker, Consultant
About
As an author of feature articles, radio plays and op-eds, I work for the German Public Radio, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, as well as for other German media channels, mostly from the ARD-Network.
My anthology "Singularkollektiv. Erzählungen" was published 2023 by Wallstein Verlag. In April 2024, the Suhrkamp Verlag published "Gleichzeit. Briefe zwischen Israel&Europa", written with Sasha Marianna Salzmann.
As a speaker, I am active both in Germany and Israel. I address political, social and cultural themes from both countries, as well as issues arising from the German-Israeli and European-Israeli thematic fields.
The questions and themes which I address as an author and speaker also stand at the heart of my engagement with a variety of civil society projects and organizations which confront the growing challenges of democratic societies these days.
Furthermore, I work as a consultant for German and Israeli companies, institutes, foundations and NGOs, as well as for multinational projects and cooperative endeavors.

I hold a Ph.D. jointly from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and the Free University, Berlin, in the fields of German History and Literature.
All these occupations are in harmony with being a proud family man, father of three children.
I first came to Germany in 1999 as a musician in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. As a result, until 2014 I enjoyed an international career as an orchestral musician, playing the French Horn in orchestras such as the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Berlin (RSB), the Deutsche Opera Berlin, the Bavarian State Theater in Nuremburg, the New Israeli Opera and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
